How is the word 40 spelled?
Is it fourty or forty

We had tussle this morning for the correct spelling of the number 40. My son Aditya had written on his note book as forty and he started swearing that his class teacher had taught him as forty, My wife and me were not sure, I was thinking it was fourty.
If you had got it right, I should say you are genius
After referring wikipedia for forty  we started congratulating for the right answer, Well he was proud of his answer, We trouble this young guy badly. Well sounds like our fundamentals are wrong.

I have in the habit of writing to do list before doing a task. So it was time for my son Aditya to get naughty.
While we were getting things ready for the list of items of the to do list. Aditya sneaked in and made an entry in to the to do list. It says "Toys YO-YO To give ADityA"

After all the fun, Do you think the last item in the to do list should be done?

Aditya had his usual weekly assessment, it was time for parents to view all the answer sheets.
So my wife started to checked the Maths paper, he scored good marks, but she wanted to check which are answers he marked wrong.

Here is the question which he marked wrong
IV. Ring the smallest number
1. 15     8

2.  10     12      13

Aditya made the mistake on the second question and lost half a mark.

Looking at the answer, my wife started to roll over the floor. Was funny when I looked on the answer papers, even I couldn't control the emotions, and laughed at Aditya. Aditya was humble enough  to understand both of us.

Aditya seems to loose marks by committing silly mistakes. Just been thinking how to correct that part.

Today morning I had a tough time driving the car to office with the rear view mirror inside the car cabin missing.
My Brat have been in the habit of making funny faces looking at the rear view mirror, holding it tight and jumping round the cabin. This time it was time for the mirror to give up.

I usually put him at the back seat, before I could get his school bag packed up, he turned naughty.

Moral of the story: Don't put your kids in the front seat of your car. Aditya are you reading this. This has some relevance to this post Moral of the story

My son loves to hang around these crowded trade centers, His only aim is to put a hole in my pocket. He would dare to roll on the sand, just to get his favorite toys.

My Son and I were playing question and answers, the game is pretty simple.
I would ask him about counting numbers.
What is 8 +7?
Aditya would start using his fingers to count the numbers and the answer as 9,10,11,12,13,14,15.

Now it was Aditya's turn to ask me the question.
Who can drive a car with out license?
I was like thinking what kind of question is this. His mother recently had been to driving school to obtain a driving license, and was wondering how could some one drive a car with a license and get caught. I told him no one could as they need a license to drive. He said "What about that uncle who drove our car in the hotel to park the car and what would say about that."


My wife and I looked at each other laughed over it and responded to Aditya. Oh, the valet parking.
We had been to Anjappar with his grandparents for lunch and the driver had parked the car. I told him he too needs the driving license as he is handling lot of cars.

I am amazed at the small details he has been picking from the places we have been moving around.

I had received a forward mail from a friend of mine, just thought, It would great to share it with all of you on parenting.
I am sure no one will say the info on parenting is bad.

"Treat your kid like a darling for the first five years.
For the next five years, scold them.
By the time they turn sixteen, treat them like a friend.
Your grown up children are your best friends."

You all know about the new TV channel from Sun Network - Chutti TV, My son has added this channel in to his list of viewing channels. I would say the programs are some what good, some cartoons dubbed in Tamil and having a re run. So ideas flicked from Pogo TV channel and some from Disney too. Any ways it is fun for these kids and it was the right time to launch the channel as it is holidays for kids.

One thing which amazes me is the commercials from the day one of the launch of this TV channel. Even POGO TV had some relaxing times with no commercials initially. Phew they have a good marketing network team.

There is one more program just like "Mask of Zorro" types. Do watch them. I will get back on this shortly on why I mentioned about this particular program.
